Edmond Lonewolf said… "And The Willow Cried"
The Weeping Willow watched the house
From the back yard
A hundred years or more it stood
But kife was getting hard
ITstarted to become diseased
As insects would infest
Branches died, became hollow inside
Although Willow tried its best
To stay alive, Look on with pride
At the land he would protect
Watching over all the changes made
Changes nature would reject
From a beautiful meadow
the land was changed
To houses all around
Willow wept and wept, the meadow was gone
The land became a town
Willow watched the people come and go
From the house he watched over near by
Till they put in a pool
that his shade made to cool
And he felt it was soon time to die
Then the chainsaw came
Tearing branches away
One by one they came down from up high
And the old tree lay there
with its branches all bare
Nature wept and the willow cried
